First off, if you aren't already planning on coming down to the Switchback Brewery on Thursday night (1/7, 5:00pm until 7:00), you'd better get on it, and bring your friends, too.
It's going to be fun, that's why.
But also- there's going to be something you can really sink your teeth into on the line:
That's right, the good folks at Vermont Smoke and Cure have seen fit to bless us with some of their wonderful products as prizes, and I couldn't be happier about it. I even got to go down to their facility in Hinesburg to pick up the meat sticks myself, and I'll tell you, it's like Willy Wonka down there. But with meat, corncobs, maple shavings, good stuff. The whole operation is pretty spectacular.
Not to mention- Their CEO?
Yeah, that's him- Chris Bailey- racing in the Coors Classic back in the day. So we've got sponsorship from a Vermont Company using Vermont products to make an excellent snack that happens to also be run by someone who actually raced bikes for real. How cool is that?
I've been a happy customer of Vermont Smoke and Cure for lots of years. When I used to work in an outdoor store, the highest compliment we could pay a product was to say "I'd pay full retail for that." Well, I have, and I will continue to pay full retail for Vermont Smoke and Cure products, but you don't have to, for the moment. You just have to come on down to Switchback and race some bikes with us tomorrow night!
See you then,
